  • Fast torque response improves control during corrections and transitions
  • Smooth steering feel with minimized cogging and vibration
  • Stable performance during long sessions with advanced thermal management
  • Flexible quick release options support different wheel setups

WHO IT’S FOR

This wheelbase is built for intermediate to advanced sim racers who want accurate force feedback and consistent performance. It is ideal for competitive drivers running formula, GT, or endurance racing who rely on detailed feedback and fast response. Best suited for PC users building high-performance direct drive setups.

KEY FEATURES

The Conspit ARES 12 direct drive wheelbase 12Nm sim racing wheelbase is engineered with a proprietary skew-pole direct drive motor designed specifically for sim racing. A 23-bit high-resolution optical encoder provides precise positional accuracy and smooth signal output. The dual skewed pole design reduces torque ripple and vibration, resulting in a refined steering feel. The system achieves a high torque slew rate, allowing it to respond quickly to changes in force feedback. Advanced thermal monitoring ensures stable performance under load. The base also includes a POGO magnetic module interface for future expansion and integrates with Conspit Link 2.0 software for tuning and preset management.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Maximum torque 12 Nm
  • Encoder 23-bit high-resolution optical encoder
  • Motor skew-pole direct drive motor
  • Torque slew rate up to 9.5 Nm per ms
  • Product dimensions 134 x 150 x 243 mm
  • Net weight 5.6 kg
  • Mounting M6 x 4 bottom and M8 x 4 side mounting points
  • Platform Windows PC
  • Connection USB direct with USB 3.0 data cable

REAL-WORLD USE / EXPERIENCE

On track, the wheelbase delivers a smooth and controlled steering feel with strong detail across the entire force feedback range. Small changes in grip, curbs, and weight transfer are clearly communicated, allowing for more confident driving. The fast response helps during quick corrections and high-speed transitions, while the low cogging keeps steering consistent and predictable. During longer sessions, the system remains stable without noticeable performance drop, making it reliable for endurance racing.
