This Trak Racer kit pairs a compact 40W, 4-channel Class-D amplifier with 2 x 10W bass shakers and the mounting hardware for your rig. It is for sim racers who want to feel the car, not only hear it, at the pedals, shifter, handbrake or frame.

A bass shaker is not a speaker. It turns low-frequency signals into physical vibration, so the feedback reaches you through the hardware itself. Fit one to your pedals, shifter, handbrake or cockpit frame. You can then feel ABS kicking in, wheel lock-up, lost traction, kerbs, road texture, engine RPM, gear changes and more.

The amplifier has four independent channels. With two shakers in the kit, you have room to add more compatible shakers later.

Tune it in Trak Racer Device Manager

Trak Racer Device Manager (TDM) is one app for setting up compatible Trak Racer electronics. That covers tactile hardware, Direct Drive wheelbases, pedals, wheels, shifters, handbrakes and more. You can download TDM from the Microsoft Store.

Where to mount the shakers

Pedals: information through your feet

A real race car sends a lot of information through the pedal box. A shaker on your pedal assembly can recreate cues such as:

• ABS engaging under braking
• Brakes locking, and the edge of threshold braking
• Wheelspin and loss of traction
• Kerbs, bumps and the texture of the road

Feeling these cues locally makes it easier to read what the car is doing, without leaning only on the screen and the audio.

Shifter: gear changes you can feel

Put a 10W shaker near the shifter for another layer of mechanical feel:

• A jolt on each gear change
• Drivetrain feedback
• Engine and RPM effects
• Gearbox and vehicle effects

The feedback lands right where your hand meets the car, so driving feels more connected.

Handbrake: built for rally and drift

A shaker close to the handbrake adds feel to rally and drift driving:

• Rear wheels stepping out
• Gravel, dirt and tarmac under the tires
• Vibration as the wheels lock
• Impacts and chassis effects

You feel it at the exact spot where you pull the lever.
