Factory-Direct Fulfillment

Every DOF Reality rig ships factory-direct from the manufacturer. There's no warehouse middle-step where your order sits on a shelf collecting dust. When you place an order, your platform is built to spec and dispatched straight to you. As your authorized US-based dealer, SimDrive Performance stays in the loop the whole way: we handle the pre-sale consultation so you order the right rig, and we're here for support once it lands.

Typical Timeline: ~3-4 Weeks

Plan on a roughly 3-4 week window from order to delivery. That covers the build time plus transit. Because these platforms are made to order from commercial-grade steel rather than pulled off a stockpile, that build window is part of getting a rig that's assembled correctly and tested before it leaves the factory. If you have a hard deadline (a birthday, an event, a sim-room launch), reach out before you order and we'll give you a realistic read on timing.

Shipping & Tracking

Your platform travels via FedEx or DHL Express, door-to-door, fully insured, with tracking from dispatch to doorstep. You'll receive tracking details so you can follow the shipment every step of the way. Because the rig is fully insured in transit, you're protected against the rare event of damage in shipping. If anything looks wrong when it arrives, document it and contact us right away so we can make it right.

What Arrives: Two Boxes of Commercial-Grade Steel

Your rig arrives disassembled in two boxes. For a 3-axis platform, that's roughly 78 lb and 97 lb. Yes, it's heavy, and that's the point. DOF Reality builds these frames from commercial-grade steel and metal profiles rather than lightweight aluminum or plastic. That extra weight is what lets the platform throw real forces at you without flexing, wobbling, or wearing out. Heavier here means more rigid, more durable, and built to take daily punishment for years. You're feeling the durability the moment you lift the box.

Have a plan to move the boxes from your entryway to your sim room before they arrive. A hand truck or a second set of hands makes it easy. If mobility is a concern, the Transportation Wheels and Lift Supports are worth a look so you can reposition the rig later without straining your back.

Assembly: A Straightforward Bolt-Together

Assembly is exactly what it sounds like: a guided, bolt-together build using the tools included in the box. You're not welding, wiring, or fabricating anything. The frame is engineered for quick assembly, and the steps are well-documented. Most builders are up and running in an afternoon. Here's the short version of what's involved:

  • Bolt the frame together using the included quick-assembly tools. The rig supports both a normal seating pose and an F1-style reclined pose.
  • Mount your seat and controls. Remember, the seat, wheel/pedals or flight controls, and VR headset are not included, so have those ready. Need a seat or pedals? Check the Accessories collection.
  • Install SimRacingStudio (license included) on your Windows PC. This is the telemetry-driven engine that reads your game's live data and drives the platform.
  • Connect the control unit by USB and plug into any standard 100-240V outlet. That's it: you're ready to calibrate and drive.

What to Expect on Delivery Day

On the day, the carrier brings both boxes to your door. Have an ID handy if a signature is required, and be present to inspect the packaging on arrival. We recommend you:

  • Inspect the boxes before signing. Note any crushed corners or visible damage and photograph it.
  • Confirm you received both boxes. A 3-axis (and larger) platform ships in two, so make sure nothing was left on the truck.
  • Open and check the contents against the included parts list before you start building.
  • Keep the packaging until you've confirmed everything's accounted for and working.

If anything is missing, damaged, or unclear, contact us. We'd rather sort it out on day one than have you guessing.

Duties & Taxes

Any tariffs, customs duties, or import taxes imposed by your country are the responsibility of the customer — these charges are not included in our product or shipping prices. You will always see the product price and shipping cost at checkout; any duties assessed by your local customs authority are billed separately by the carrier.

Payment & Financing

Spread the cost of your rig over time. At checkout you can pay with Shop Pay Installments, Affirm, or Klarna — split your purchase into monthly payments instead of paying everything up front. Available plans and terms are shown at checkout based on your cart total and eligibility.
