Parts made for the DOF Reality line. Tick what you want and it ships on the same order. Hover a part to see what it does.

Seats

The part you sit in. It bolts to the seat rails on the frame, and on most rigs the position slides back and forth to suit your height.

  • A one-piece racing seat that bolts to the rig frame where the driver sits.

    $469.00In stock

  • A racing seat with side adjustment levers and openings for five- or six-point belts.

    $549.00In stock

  • A racing seat shaped for tighter cockpits that can bolt from underneath or at the sides.

    $596.00In stock

Monitors

Holds the screen at racing distance. A cockpit-mounted arm bolts to the rig so the screen and the seat move together. A freestanding stand sits on the floor by itself and carries heavier or triple-screen setups.

  • Holds a VESA monitor on the rig so the screen moves with you instead of staying still.

    $120.00In stock

Wheels and pedals

The controls themselves. The wheelbase bolts to the deck at the front of the rig, the pedals to the pedal plate down below.

  • A plate that lets you unclip the pedals from the rig without tools when you need the space.

    $100.00In stock

Motion and haptics

Physical feedback. Shakers bolt to the seat or the frame and vibrate with the road surface, the kerbs and the engine, so you feel the car as well as see it.

  • A bracket that holds a bass shaker on the rig so you feel rumble through the frame.

    $31.00In stock

  • A box that takes motion data from PlayStation or Xbox games so the platform moves with them.

    $199.00In stock

  • Fans set in front of the seat that blow harder as your speed rises in the game.

    $359.00In stock

  • Shakers that fix to the seat and vibrate in time with the game so you feel the surface.

    $429.00In stock

  • DOF Reality Motion Upgrade Kit (Add Axes to Your Existing Rig)

    $1,073.00In stockChoose options

Flight

Mounts for a flight stick, a throttle and rudder pedals, if you fly as well as drive.

  • Brackets that hold a Honeycomb Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle on a flight rig.

    $75.00In stock

  • Mounts a flight stick and throttle to the moving platform, at the center or off to one side.

    $120.00In stock

Extras

The things you notice later: casters so it rolls out of the way, a mat to protect the floor, covers, longer cables.

  • An emergency button wired for six-axis platforms that stops all motion the moment you hit it.

    $55.00In stock

  • A fabric cover you drape over the rig to keep dust off it between sessions.

    $55.00In stock

  • Gas struts that carry part of the six-axis frame's weight so it is easier to build and move.

    $75.00In stock

  • Longer motor and control cables so a six-axis rig can sit further from its control box.

    $75.00In stock

  • Larger casters for the heavier six-axis frame so the rig can be rolled rather than lifted.

    $240.00In stock

    About this product

The top of the Hero line: a full six-axis platform — pitch, roll, yaw, heave, surge and sway — built around the extra-smooth SFU gearbox so every climb, bank and hover translates into seamless, true-to-life motion under the entire cockpit.

The DOF Reality H6r is the most complete motion platform in the Hero family, and the "r" in its name is the whole point for pilots. It drives all six degrees of freedom — pitch, roll, yaw, heave, surge and sway — through a specially tuned SFU gearbox engineered for the slow, deliberate, ultra-precise movements that flight and helicopter simulation demand. Where a faster racing-tuned rig wants snap and aggression, the H6r wants refinement, and that's exactly what makes it feel right in the cockpit.

This is a full-platform mover: your seat, stick, throttle, collective and pedals all move together as one rigid commercial-grade steel structure. When you roll into a bank, the entire cockpit rolls with you. When you flare a helicopter or settle into a hover, the heave and surge axes communicate that floating, settling sensation through your body before your eyes even register it — the kind of seat-of-the-pants feedback real pilots fly by.

At $7,599 it sits at the summit of the Hero range, and it earns that position by giving you the one thing the rest of the lineup can't: every axis of aircraft motion, delivered with the silky control that long, immersive flights deserve. It's the rig we'd reach for to fly seriously at home.

    How it moves

This is a full-platform rig: the seat and all your controls move together, so your hands and feet stay locked to the cockpit exactly as they would in the real thing.

    • Pitch — tilts you forward and back so you feel acceleration and braking.
    • Roll — tilts side to side so you feel the lean of every corner.
    • Yaw — rotates the platform to reproduce rear traction loss — oversteer, drift and coordinated turns.
    • Heave — drives the whole platform vertically for curbs, kerbs, bumps and (in the air) runway texture and turbulence.
    • Surge — slides you forward and back under hard acceleration and braking.
    • Sway — slides you left and right through fast direction changes.

    Who it’s for

The H6r is for the committed flight and helicopter simmer who wants the complete motion picture — all six axes — with the smooth, refined delivery that makes hours in the virtual cockpit feel real rather than busy. If you fly DCS, MSFS, X-Plane or rotary-wing sims and you want your body, not just your screen, to tell you what the aircraft is doing, this is the rig.

    • Step down: If your budget tops out lower, the H4r (4-axis, $3,999) still delivers smooth pitch, roll, yaw and heave — the core sensations of flight — without surge and sway.
    • This rig: The H6r adds surge and sway for the full six-axis experience, with the SFU gearbox tuned specifically for flight's slow, precise motion. It is the top of the Hero line — already maxed out at six axes, so there's no Hero rig above it.
    • Step up: If you want the same six axes but roughly 50% faster, stronger and commercial-grade, the Pro-tier P6e ($9,999) is the next move — though for the gentle, deliberate cadence of flight, most pilots prefer the Hero's smoothness.

    Games, platforms & compatibility

The H6r reads telemetry from a deep roster of flight titles — over 27 supported games — so the motion you feel is driven by the actual flight model, not a guess. Fully supported sims include:

    • Civil & study-level: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 & 2020, X-Plane 10/11/12, Prepar3D 4.5/5, Aerofly FS 2
    • Combat & military: DCS World, IL-2 Sturmovik, War Thunder (planes), Star Wars: Squadrons
    • Space & gliding: Elite Dangerous, Condor 2 (gliders)

Platforms: PC (Windows) is fully supported across every title. Console (PlayStation/Xbox) works for the select games that send telemetry over the network, and the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for others. For the most immersive flying, VR is supported through OpenVR Motion Compensation — so your headset view stays locked to the cockpit while the platform moves beneath you — with the Valve Index, Quest and Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more.

Pairs naturally with HOTAS, collective and rudder-pedal setups, since the entire control stack mounts to the moving platform and travels with you. For the full list of supported titles and motion mapping, see our DOF support page.

    Complete your rig

    • Flight controls: HOTAS Mounts Kit and Honeycomb A+B adapter to bolt your stick, throttle and yoke straight to the moving cockpit
    • Seats & harnesses — DOF Reality seat, Sparco R100/R333/Sprint, 4-point harness
    • Immersion: SRS UShake 6 tactile cushion, SRS Hurricane wind package, Buttkicker mount
    • Practicality: monitor mount, floor mat with DOF shield, protective covers, transport wheels, cable extensions
    • Console: the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for PlayStation and Xbox titles that don’t send telemetry natively

    Shipping & delivery

Your rig is built to order and ships insured from our European manufacturing partner, door to door with tracking. The current lead time is in the Shipping and Returns tab. It arrives disassembled in two boxes (commercial-grade steel, so it is heavy by design = rigid and durable) and bolts together with the included tools; then you install SimRacingStudio and connect by USB. Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges set by your country are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price — in line with the manufacturer’s policy. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.

    Warranty, support & financing

Every platform includes a full 1-year manufacturer warranty, with an optional Extended +1 Year. As an authorized DOF Reality dealer based in the USA, we back every order with free pre-sale consultation and hands-on setup help — and you can split the cost with Shop Pay, Affirm, or Klarna at checkout. Frequently asked questions

What makes the H6r different from the standard H6?

The "r" variant uses an extra-smooth SFU gearbox tuned specifically for the slow, precise movements of flight and helicopter sims. Aircraft motion is generally gentler and more deliberate than racing, and the SFU gearbox delivers that refinement — smoother transitions and finer control — for a small premium over the standard H6.

Which six axes does the H6r move, and why does that matter for flight?

Pitch, roll, yaw, heave, surge and sway. Together they reproduce the full motion envelope of an aircraft: pitch and roll for climbs and banks, yaw for rudder and tail movement, and heave, surge and sway for the floating, settling and side-loading cues that are especially vital for helicopter hover work and turbulence.

Does the whole cockpit move, or just the seat?

The whole platform. Your seat and all your controls — stick or yoke, throttle, collective, rudder pedals — are mounted to one rigid commercial-grade steel structure that moves as a single unit. That keeps your hands and the cockpit in sync with the motion, which is what sells the realism.

Is the H6r the most capable rig DOF Reality makes?

It's the top of the Hero line — six axes, already maxed out, with the smooth motors the Hero range is known for. The Pro-tier P6e moves the same six axes but roughly 50% faster and stronger with commercial-grade build, though for flight's slower cadence many pilots prefer the Hero's smoothness over raw speed.

Can I use the H6r in VR?

Yes. VR is fully supported through OpenVR Motion Compensation, which keeps your headset view anchored to the cockpit as the platform moves. It works with the Valve Index, Quest and Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more — ideal for fully immersive flying.
