Motion Plus Platform

The Next Level Racing® Motion Plus Platform is a full-cockpit motion system for sim racers, flight simmers and simulation professionals. It is the brand's first platform with heave, pitch and roll. It moves your whole chassis to recreate the G-forces of bumps, corners, vibration, braking and acceleration.

Next Level Racing® has made motion products since 2014, and thousands of sim racers, flight sim fans and industry professionals use them. The Motion Plus Platform runs 4000 microprocesses every second, fed directly by the game, so feedback stays accurate whether you drive or fly. It fits into the wider Next Level Racing® motion lineup and can combine with the Motion V3 or Traction Plus platforms**.

Why it matters

Precise chassis motion

The platform moves the chassis with precision to complete the simulation. Game telemetry passes through the software and turns into accurate movement in the hardware, with acceleration of up to 1100mm per second². Next Level Racing sees motion as the natural next step in a simulation setup.

What you feel

Development centered on how the chassis moves. The platform turns key effects into motion you feel in the cockpit: bumps, braking, acceleration, gear shifts and road effects. Roll velocity reaches up to 21 degrees/second, so you lean into each corner quickly and precisely. Braking and acceleration effects run at up to 8 degrees/second, which helps you adapt and stay in control.

Built for simulation from scratch

Next Level Racing did not use industrial or adapted actuators. The Motion Plus Platform uses technology and manufacturing developed purely for simulation. Magnetic encoders on the motor shaft send precise feedback from the game to the hardware. Those cues narrow the gap between the real and the virtual.

Build your own setup

You can shape your motion setup around your needs. One Motion Plus unit gives you 2-DOF. Add a second unit to move up to 3-DOF with pitch, roll and heave. Mixing it with other Next Level Racing® Motion Platforms takes you up to 4-DOF.

VR with motion

VR Headway 2.0 is built into the Platform Manager software. It uses advanced math to cancel unwanted VR movement and corrects the view inside the game in real time. You get realistic motion while cutting down the VR sickness some other motion platforms cause.

Commercial grade

The Motion Plus Platform is built for commercial use. Hundreds of Next Level Racing® motion platforms already run in VR and commercial centers around the world. It is adaptable and precise enough for a wide range of training and research uses.

Platform Manager software

The platforms run with the Next Level Racing® Platform Manager, which was redesigned so the Motion Plus works smoothly with it. It is click-and-play with all major racing and flight titles on PC. Updates add support for new games as they release.

The engine underneath is complex, but the controls are simple. One click changes the intensity of motion, bumps, roll and pitch. When you pair the Motion Plus with the Motion Platform V3 and the Traction Plus Platform, you can tune each unit's effects separately. Assembly and setup need little or no technical help. You can be racing or flying with motion in under an hour.
