The DOF Reality H3r is the Hero-series, three-axis full-platform motion rig built specifically for pilots. It moves on pitch, roll and yaw — the three axes that define how an aircraft actually feels in your hands — and it moves the entire cockpit, not just the seat. Your yoke or stick, throttle quadrant and rudder pedals all travel together, so what you see on screen and what your body feels stay locked in agreement.

What sets the "r" variant apart is the extra-smooth SFU gearbox. Flight and helicopter sims live in slow, precise territory: a gentle bank into a turn, a creeping pitch change on final approach, the constant micro-corrections of a hover. How it moves

This is a full-platform rig: the seat and all your controls move together, so your hands and feet stay locked to the cockpit exactly as they would in the real thing.

• Pitch — tilts you forward and back so you feel acceleration and braking.
• Roll — tilts side to side so you feel the lean of every corner.
• Yaw — rotates the platform to reproduce rear traction loss — oversteer, drift and coordinated turns.

Who it’s for

The H3r is for the flight and helicopter simmer who wants full-cockpit motion on the three axes that matter most for flying — pitch, roll and yaw — with the smooth-gearbox tuning that rewards precise, low-speed inputs. Shipping & delivery

Your rig is built to order and ships insured from our European manufacturing partner, door to door with tracking. The current lead time is in the Shipping and Returns tab. It arrives disassembled in two boxes (commercial-grade steel, so it is heavy by design = rigid and durable) and bolts together with the included tools; then you install SimRacingStudio and connect by USB. Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges set by your country are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price — in line with the manufacturer’s policy. Why choose the H3r "r" variant for flight instead of the standard H3?

The "r" build uses the extra-smooth SFU gearbox, tuned specifically for the slow, precise movements flight and helicopter sims demand. Where fast-twitch racing motion can mask small steps, flying exposes them — gentle banks, gradual pitch changes and hover corrections need to arrive smoothly. The SFU drive delivers exactly that, which is why we recommend it for pilots.

Which three axes does the H3r move, and why those for flying?

Pitch, roll and yaw. These are the three rotations that define an aircraft's attitude: nose up and down, wings banking left and right, and the nose swinging through a turn or a crosswind. Feeling all three together is what makes coordinated turns, stalls and approaches read as real motion rather than just a moving picture.

Does the H3r move the whole cockpit or just the seat?

The whole platform. Your seat, yoke or stick, throttle and rudder pedals all move as one unit, so your hands and feet stay aligned with the motion. That matters in flight sims, where you're making constant fine inputs and need the controls to travel with you.

Can I add heave or more axes later?

Yes. You can add a heave actuator with the H4 (from $1,675) for vertical cues like turbulence and firm touchdowns, or move up to the full six-axis H6 (from $3,750) when you're ready for surge, sway and heave on top of pitch, roll and yaw.
