Seats
The part you sit in. It bolts to the seat rails on the frame, and on most rigs the position slides back and forth to suit your height.
- A one-piece racing seat that bolts to the rig frame where the driver sits.
$469.00In stock
- A racing seat with side adjustment levers and openings for five- or six-point belts.
$549.00In stock
- A racing seat shaped for tighter cockpits that can bolt from underneath or at the sides.
$596.00In stock
Monitors
Holds the screen at racing distance. A cockpit-mounted arm bolts to the rig so the screen and the seat move together. A freestanding stand sits on the floor by itself and carries heavier or triple-screen setups.
- Holds a VESA monitor on the rig so the screen moves with you instead of staying still.
$120.00In stock
Wheels and pedals
The controls themselves. The wheelbase bolts to the deck at the front of the rig, the pedals to the pedal plate down below.
- A plate that lets you unclip the pedals from the rig without tools when you need the space.
$100.00In stock
Motion and haptics
Physical feedback. Shakers bolt to the seat or the frame and vibrate with the road surface, the kerbs and the engine, so you feel the car as well as see it.
- A bracket that holds a bass shaker on the rig so you feel rumble through the frame.
$25.00In stock
- A box that takes motion data from PlayStation or Xbox games so the platform moves with them.
$199.00In stock
- Fans set in front of the seat that blow harder as your speed rises in the game.
$359.00In stock
- Shakers that fix to the seat and vibrate in time with the game so you feel the surface.

Extras
The things you notice later: casters so it rolls out of the way, a mat to protect the floor, covers, longer cables.
- Casters that bolt under the platform so you can roll the rig aside instead of lifting it.
$40.00In stock
- Longer motor and control cables so a three-axis rig can sit further from its control box.

About this product
Three axes of true-platform motion — pitch, roll and yaw — tuned with the smooth SFU gearbox so every collective pull, pedal input and bank in your helicopter sim translates into seat-of-the-pants feedback you can fly by.
The DOF Reality H3r is the Hero-class, three-axis motion platform built for pilots who want to feel the aircraft, not just watch it. Pitch, roll and yaw move your seat, pedals, collective and cyclic together as one solid platform — so when you nose into a dive, crank into a pedal turn, or wrestle a settling-with-power recovery, your inner ear and your eyes finally agree.
What makes the “r” variant special is the extra-smooth SFU gearbox. Helicopter flight lives in the slow, deliberate, micro-corrected end of the motion envelope — a steady hover, a gentle translational lift, the subtle roll as you trim out drift. Cheaper drives can feel notchy at those crawling speeds; the SFU gearbox glides, giving you the fluid, hard-to-fool motion cues that make a hover feel like a hover.
At $3,299 on a commercial-grade steel frame, the H3r is a serious, do-it-right platform that stays out of your way and lets you focus on flying. It is the rig we'd put under our own collective.

How it moves
This is a full-platform rig: the seat and all your controls move together, so your hands and feet stay locked to the cockpit exactly as they would in the real thing.
- Pitch — tilts you forward and back so you feel acceleration and braking.
- Roll — tilts side to side so you feel the lean of every corner.
- Yaw — rotates the platform to reproduce rear traction loss — oversteer, drift and coordinated turns.
Who it’s for
Best for the dedicated helicopter and flight-sim pilot who has outgrown a static seat and wants real platform motion — the kind of person logging serious hours in DCS rotary modules or refining hover discipline in MSFS and X-Plane.
- Step down: If your budget tops out lower, the H2 (2-axis, pitch and roll) delivers the two cues that matter most in flight, and the seat-moving M2 is the most affordable way to get moving at all.
- Step up: Want heave for that gut-drop sink and lift on the collective? Add the H4 heave upgrade. Ready for the complete picture — surge and sway as well? The six-axis H6 is the full Hero experience.
Games, platforms & compatibility
The H3r is built to fly the titles serious rotary pilots actually run:
- DCS World helicopters — Apache, Black Shark, Huey, Gazelle and the rest of the rotary stable, where precise pitch, roll and yaw cues pay off most.
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 & 2020
- X-Plane 10, 11 and 12 helicopters
PC (Windows) is fully supported across every title above. Console (PlayStation/Xbox) works for the select games that send telemetry over the network, and the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for others. VR is supported through OpenVR Motion Compensation — Valve Index, Quest and Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more — so the cockpit stays locked to your view while the platform moves beneath you.
Not sure how your exact setup, cockpit or controls fit? See our DOF support page for compatibility details and help getting dialed in.

Future-proof: upgrade later

Shipping & delivery
Your rig is built to order and ships insured from our European manufacturing partner, door to door with tracking. The current lead time is in the Shipping and Returns tab. It arrives disassembled in two boxes (commercial-grade steel, so it is heavy by design = rigid and durable) and bolts together with the included tools; then you install SimRacingStudio and connect by USB. Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges set by your country are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price — in line with the manufacturer’s policy. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Warranty, support & financing
Every platform includes a full 1-year manufacturer warranty, with an optional Extended +1 Year. As an authorized DOF Reality dealer based in the USA, we back every order with free pre-sale consultation and hands-on setup help — and you can split the cost with Shop Pay, Affirm, or Klarna at checkout. Frequently asked questions
Why the “r” version for helicopter sims?
The H3r uses the smooth SFU gearbox, tuned specifically for the slow, precise movements that define helicopter flight — hovering, fine pedal corrections and gentle banking. That smoothness at low speed is exactly where flight and heli cues need to feel believable, so the “r” gearbox is worth the small premium for rotary pilots.
What do the three axes actually do for me in a helicopter?
Pitch leans you fore and aft as you nose over or flare, roll tips you side to side as you bank and counter drift, and yaw rotates you with pedal inputs. Together they give your body the orientation cues a real pilot leans on — making hover stability and coordinated turns far more intuitive than a fixed seat allows.
Does it move the whole cockpit or just the seat?
The whole platform. Your seat, pedals, cyclic and collective all move together as one unit, so your controls stay perfectly aligned with your body throughout every maneuver — no disconnect between what you feel and where your hands are.
Can I add heave later for collective pulls?
Yes. The H3r is designed to grow with you. Add the H4 heave upgrade when you want that vertical lift-and-sink sensation on the collective, or step up to the six-axis H6 for the complete motion picture. You are not locked into where you start.
Will it handle my rig and me?
The H3r supports up to 330 lb / 150 kg of combined user and gear on a commercial-grade steel frame, with a 3 x 5 ft footprint. It is engineered to hold a full flight setup steady through every input.
