The DOF Reality H4 is a four-axis Hero motion platform built for drivers who want the whole car to talk to them. Pitch puts the load on your front tires under braking and pushes you back into the seat on corner exit. Roll leans the chassis through long sweepers. Yaw lets the rear step out so you can catch the slide with your hands and feet, not just your eyes. And heave — the fourth axis on the H4 — adds the vertical hit: crests that go light, compressions that load up, curbs and kerbs that thump straight up through the platform.

Because this is a Hero full-platform design, everything that matters moves together. Your wheel, pedals and seat are bolted to one frame, so the forces stay perfectly in sync with your hands and feet. There's no disconnect between what you feel in your body and what you're doing at the controls — the rig drops you into the cockpit instead of shaking you in your chair.

How it moves

This is a full-platform rig: the seat and all your controls move together, so your hands and feet stay locked to the cockpit exactly as they would in the real thing.

• Pitch — tilts you forward and back so you feel acceleration and braking.
• Roll — tilts side to side so you feel the lean of every corner.
• Yaw — rotates the platform to reproduce rear traction loss — oversteer, drift and coordinated turns.
• Heave — drives the whole platform vertically for curbs, kerbs, bumps and (in the air) runway texture and turbulence.

The H4 reads telemetry from 60+ racing titles and translates it into real motion across all four axes. That includes the sims serious drivers actually live in — iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Competizione & EVO, Le Mans Ultimate, rFactor 2, Automobilista 1 & 2 and RaceRoom — plus the broad library: Gran Turismo 7 & Sport, the F1 22–25 series, Forza Motorsport and Horizon 4/5, Project CARS 1/2/3, BeamNG.drive, Dirt Rally 2.0, EA Sports WRC, GRID and Wreckfest.

• PC (Windows): Fully supported across every title, with the deepest motion data and the most tuning control.
• Console (PlayStation / Xbox): Works directly with the select games that send telemetry over the network, and the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for many of the others.
• VR: Supported via OpenVR Motion Compensation — the headset stays locked to the cockpit while the rig moves under you. Tested with Valve Index, Quest / Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more.

Shipping & delivery

Your rig is built to order and ships insured from our European manufacturing partner, door to door with tracking. The current lead time is in the Shipping and Returns tab. It arrives disassembled in two boxes (commercial-grade steel, so it is heavy by design = rigid and durable) and bolts together with the included tools; then you install SimRacingStudio and connect by USB. Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges set by your country are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price — in line with the manufacturer’s policy. Frequently asked questions

What does the fourth axis — heave — actually add for racing?

Heave is vertical motion: the whole platform lifts and drops. In a race car that's what you feel over crests, into compressions, across kerbs and on bumpy circuits. On a three-axis rig you get the lean and rotation of the car but not that up-and-down hit; the H4 adds it, so a curb strike or a dip in the road comes through your body the way it does on track. On rough surfaces and rally-style stages it's a real driving aid, not just immersion.

How is the H4 different from a seat-mover like the M2?

The H4 is a Hero full-platform rig — your seat, wheel and pedals are all bolted to one moving frame, so the forces stay perfectly aligned with your hands and feet. A seat-mover like the M2 moves only the seat while the controls stay fixed, which is a great entry point but a different feel. With the H4 there's no disconnect between what your body feels and what you're doing at the wheel.

Is the H4 strong enough for a direct-drive wheel and a stiff cockpit?

Yes. The H4 uses a commercial-grade steel chassis rated for a driver up to 330 lb / 150 kg, and because the wheel base and pedals mount to the same rigid platform, a high-torque direct-drive base and load-cell pedals stay planted even under hard motion. It runs DOF Reality's smooth Hero motors, so the input stays crisp over long stints.

Can I upgrade to the six-axis H6 later?

You can. The H4 shares its core with the H6, so you can add the remaining two axes — surge and sway — later for around $2,875, which covers three extra motors, the additional frame parts and a new control box. It's a sensible way to start at four axes now and grow into the full six-axis Hero platform when you're ready.

Will the H4 work in VR?

Yes. With OpenVR Motion Compensation enabled, your headset stays locked to the virtual cockpit while the rig moves beneath you, so the world doesn't swim as the platform pitches, rolls, yaws and heaves. It's tested with the Valve Index, Quest and Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more.
