Parts made for the DOF Reality line. Tick what you want and it ships on the same order. Hover a part to see what it does.

Seats

The part you sit in. It bolts to the seat rails on the frame, and on most rigs the position slides back and forth to suit your height.

  • A one-piece racing seat that bolts to the rig frame where the driver sits.

    $469.00In stock

  • A racing seat with side adjustment levers and openings for five- or six-point belts.

    $549.00In stock

  • A racing seat shaped for tighter cockpits that can bolt from underneath or at the sides.

    $596.00In stock

Monitors

Holds the screen at racing distance. A cockpit-mounted arm bolts to the rig so the screen and the seat move together. A freestanding stand sits on the floor by itself and carries heavier or triple-screen setups.

  • Holds a VESA monitor on the rig so the screen moves with you instead of staying still.

    $120.00In stock

Wheels and pedals

The controls themselves. The wheelbase bolts to the deck at the front of the rig, the pedals to the pedal plate down below.

  • A plate that lets you unclip the pedals from the rig without tools when you need the space.

    $100.00In stock

Motion and haptics

Physical feedback. Shakers bolt to the seat or the frame and vibrate with the road surface, the kerbs and the engine, so you feel the car as well as see it.

  • A bracket that holds a bass shaker on the rig so you feel rumble through the frame.

    $25.00In stock

  • A box that takes motion data from PlayStation or Xbox games so the platform moves with them.

    $199.00In stock

  • Fans set in front of the seat that blow harder as your speed rises in the game.

    $359.00In stock

  • Shakers that fix to the seat and vibrate in time with the game so you feel the surface.

    $429.00In stock

  • DOF Reality Motion Upgrade Kit (Add Axes to Your Existing Rig)

    $1,073.00In stockChoose options

Flight

Mounts for a flight stick, a throttle and rudder pedals, if you fly as well as drive.

  • Brackets that hold a Honeycomb Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle on a flight rig.

    $70.00In stock

  • Mounts a flight stick and throttle to the moving platform, at the center or off to one side.

    $120.00In stock

Extras

The things you notice later: casters so it rolls out of the way, a mat to protect the floor, covers, longer cables.

  • A button you hit to cut the platform's motion instantly if something goes wrong.

    $50.00In stock

  • Metal panels that enclose the moving frame of a two or three axis platform.

    $190.00In stock

    About this product

Two axes of real motion — pitch and roll — built into your seat, so your inner ear feels the climb, the bank and the stall instead of just watching them. The M2 is the most affordable way to turn a flight sim into a flying machine.

The DOF Reality M2 is a 2DOF seat mover engineered for one job: making your virtual cockpit feel like it's actually in the air. It drives the two axes that matter most to a pilot — pitch (nose up, nose down) and roll (banking left and right) — so every input you make on the stick is answered by a physical cue in your body, not just a picture on the screen.

Because the M2 is a seat-only mover, the seat tilts and banks underneath you while your throttle, stick and pedals stay locked in place. That keeps your hands on fixed controls — exactly where a pilot wants them — while your vestibular system reads the bank angle, the pitch attitude and the G of a hard pull. The result is the cue every flight simmer is chasing: you stop fighting to read the horizon and start flying by feel.

At $1,499 on a commercial-grade steel frame, the M2 is the lowest-cost entry into genuine two-axis flight motion we'd put our own name behind. It's compact enough to live in a real room and serious enough to change how you fly from the first session.

    How it moves

This is a seat mover: your seat tilts on its own base to deliver real motion in the most compact, affordable way.

    • Pitch — tilts you forward and back so you feel acceleration and braking.
    • Roll — tilts side to side so you feel the lean of every corner.

    Who it’s for

The M2 is built for the flight simmer who wants true motion without a full-cockpit budget — the GA pilot in MSFS, the DCS combat flyer, the X-Plane perfectionist or the glider pilot reading thermals in Condor.

    • Step down: If you're not ready to add motion at all, a fixed rig and a good HOTAS will still fly — but you'll be reading attitude entirely off the screen. The M2 is the smallest jump from "watching" to "feeling."
    • Step up: Want the whole cockpit to move — stick, pedals, screen and all — on smoother motors? The full-platform Hero H2 ($2,499) is the next tier. Ready to commit to a permanent setup that's roughly 50% faster and stronger? Look at the commercial-grade Pro P2e ($4,999). And when you outgrow two axes, the M2 platform upgrades directly into the Hero line (H2, H3, H6) for more degrees of freedom.

    Games, platforms & compatibility

The M2 reads live telemetry from 27+ flight titles, so the motion you feel is generated by the sim itself — not faked. Supported flight sims include:

    • Civil & study-level: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 & 2020, X-Plane 10/11/12, Prepar3D 4.5/5, Aerofly FS 2
    • Combat: DCS World, IL-2 Sturmovik, War Thunder (planes), Star Wars Squadrons
    • Space & gliding: Elite Dangerous, Condor 2 gliders

PC (Windows) is fully supported across every title above. Console (PlayStation/Xbox) works for the select games that send telemetry over the network, and the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for others. VR is fully supported via OpenVR Motion Compensation — so the cockpit stays rock-steady around your head while the seat moves on the Valve Index, Quest / Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more.

Pair the M2 with your existing HOTAS, yoke and rudder pedals — they mount and stay fixed while the seat does the moving. Not sure your favorite sim or hardware is covered? See our full DOF support page.

    Complete your rig

    • Flight controls: HOTAS Mounts Kit and Honeycomb A+B adapter to bolt your stick, throttle and yoke straight to the moving cockpit
    • Seats & harnesses — DOF Reality seat, Sparco R100/R333/Sprint, 4-point harness
    • Immersion: SRS UShake 6 tactile cushion, SRS Hurricane wind package, Buttkicker mount
    • Practicality: monitor mount, floor mat with DOF shield, protective covers, transport wheels, cable extensions
    • Console: the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for PlayStation and Xbox titles that don’t send telemetry natively

    Future-proof: upgrade later

When you are ready for full-cockpit motion, the M2 platform upgrades into the Hero line (H2, H3, H6). Every DOF Reality platform is modular — see how the upgrade paths work on our Options & Upgrades page.

    Shipping & delivery

Your rig is built to order and ships insured from our European manufacturing partner, door to door with tracking. The current lead time is in the Shipping and Returns tab. It arrives disassembled in two boxes (commercial-grade steel, so it is heavy by design = rigid and durable) and bolts together with the included tools; then you install SimRacingStudio and connect by USB. Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges set by your country are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price — in line with the manufacturer’s policy. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.

    Warranty, support & financing

Every platform includes a full 1-year manufacturer warranty, with an optional Extended +1 Year. As an authorized DOF Reality dealer based in the USA, we back every order with free pre-sale consultation and hands-on setup help — and you can split the cost with Shop Pay, Affirm, or Klarna at checkout. Frequently asked questions

Which way does the M2 actually move for flight?

Two axes: pitch and roll. That means you feel the nose drop and rise as you push or pull, and you feel the airframe bank as you roll into a turn — the two cues that do the most to make flying feel real. Yaw and heave aren't part of a 2DOF rig; for those you'd move up the Hero or Pro line.

Do my flight controls move with the seat?

No — and that's intentional. The M2 is a seat-only mover, so your stick, throttle and pedals stay mounted in a fixed position while the seat tilts and banks beneath you. Your hands stay on stable controls while your body reads the motion, which is ideal for precise stick work in DCS or IL-2.

Will it work with my VR headset?

Yes. The M2 supports OpenVR Motion Compensation, which keeps the virtual cockpit locked to your head while the seat moves underneath you — no swimming or drift. It's verified with the Valve Index, Quest / Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more.

Is the M2 strong enough for me?

The M2 is rated for users up to 220 lb / 100 kg on a commercial-grade steel frame, with a compact seat-base footprint that fits a normal room. If you're heavier than that, or you want a permanent full-cockpit build, the Pro line is the more appropriate platform.

Can I upgrade later without buying a whole new rig?

Yes. The M2 platform is designed to grow into the Hero line (H2, H3, H6) when you're ready for full-cockpit motion and additional degrees of freedom, so your starting investment isn't a dead end.
