Seats
The part you sit in. It bolts to the seat rails on the frame, and on most rigs the position slides back and forth to suit your height.
- A one-piece racing seat that bolts to the rig frame where the driver sits.
$469.00In stock
- A racing seat with side adjustment levers and openings for five- or six-point belts.
$549.00In stock
- A racing seat shaped for tighter cockpits that can bolt from underneath or at the sides.
$596.00In stock
Monitors
Holds the screen at racing distance. A cockpit-mounted arm bolts to the rig so the screen and the seat move together. A freestanding stand sits on the floor by itself and carries heavier or triple-screen setups.
- Holds a VESA monitor on the rig so the screen moves with you instead of staying still.
$120.00In stock
Wheels and pedals
The controls themselves. The wheelbase bolts to the deck at the front of the rig, the pedals to the pedal plate down below.
- A plate that lets you unclip the pedals from the rig without tools when you need the space.
$100.00In stock
Motion and haptics
Physical feedback. Shakers bolt to the seat or the frame and vibrate with the road surface, the kerbs and the engine, so you feel the car as well as see it.
- A bracket that holds a bass shaker on the rig so you feel rumble through the frame.
$25.00In stock
- A box that takes motion data from PlayStation or Xbox games so the platform moves with them.
$199.00In stock
- Fans set in front of the seat that blow harder as your speed rises in the game.
$359.00In stock
- Shakers that fix to the seat and vibrate in time with the game so you feel the surface.

About this product
Real pitch and roll under your seat — the M2 tilts you forward into a dive, banks you through a pedal turn, and lets every cyclic input land in your body, not just your eyes. Two-axis seat motion that brings DCS, MSFS and X-Plane helicopters to life.
The DOF Reality M2 is a 2DOF seat mover built for one job: putting the feel of rotary flight back into your hips and spine. With two axes of motion — pitch and roll — the seat itself tilts and banks in sync with your sim, so when you nose over into a dive or roll into a hard pedal turn, you actually feel the aircraft load up underneath you.
For helicopter flying, that matters more than it does in almost any other discipline. A helo lives in the low-and-slow world of constant small corrections: setting an attitude on the cyclic, catching torque with the pedals, easing into a hover. The M2 translates that telemetry into seat-of-the-pants cues, so you stop reading the artificial horizon and start flying the aircraft the way real pilots do — by what the airframe is telling you.
At $1,499 it's the most accessible way into genuine motion simulation, and it's commercial-grade where it counts: a welded steel base, a 220 lb / 100 kg rider rating, and a compact footprint that drops into an existing setup without rebuilding your room. It's the M2 we'd recommend to anyone serious about feeling their flying for the first time.

How it moves
This is a seat mover: your seat tilts on its own base to deliver real motion in the most compact, affordable way.
- Pitch — tilts you forward and back so you feel acceleration and braking.
- Roll — tilts side to side so you feel the lean of every corner.
Who it’s for
The M2 is the right rig for the helicopter pilot who wants to feel their flying without committing to a full-cockpit platform or a four-figure-plus budget. If you're learning the hover, drilling autorotations, or just want DCS and MSFS helos to come alive under your seat, this is where motion starts.
- Step down: there isn't one — the M2 is the entry point to real DOF Reality motion at $1,499. Below this you're back to a static seat.
- Step up: if you want the whole cockpit (seat, pedals and stick) moving as one rigid platform on smoother motors, look at the Hero line — the H2 at $2,499 for 2DOF, or the H3 at $2,999 for an added axis. The M2 platform itself upgrades into the Hero range (H2, H3, H6) when you're ready, so this purchase isn't a dead end.
Games, platforms & compatibility
The M2 drives motion from the telemetry your flight sim already outputs, so the helicopters you fly today work out of the box:
- DCS World — the full rotary lineup, including the AH-64 Apache, Ka-50 Black Shark, UH-1H Huey and SA342 Gazelle.
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 & 2020 — the built-in and add-on helicopters.
- X-Plane 10/11/12 — helicopter flight models across all three versions.
Platforms: PC (Windows) is fully supported across every title above. Console (PlayStation/Xbox) works for the select games that send telemetry over the network, and the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for titles that don't. VR is fully supported through OpenVR Motion Compensation, so the cockpit stays locked to your head while the seat moves underneath you — Valve Index, Quest and Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more.

Future-proof: upgrade later
When you are ready for full-cockpit motion, the M2 platform upgrades into the Hero line (H2, H3, H6). Every DOF Reality platform is modular — see how the upgrade paths work on our Options & Upgrades page.
Shipping & delivery
Your rig is built to order and ships insured from our European manufacturing partner, door to door with tracking. The current lead time is in the Shipping and Returns tab. It arrives disassembled in two boxes (commercial-grade steel, so it is heavy by design = rigid and durable) and bolts together with the included tools; then you install SimRacingStudio and connect by USB. Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges set by your country are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price — in line with the manufacturer’s policy. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Warranty, support & financing
Every platform includes a full 1-year manufacturer warranty, with an optional Extended +1 Year. As an authorized DOF Reality dealer based in the USA, we back every order with free pre-sale consultation and hands-on setup help — and you can split the cost with Shop Pay, Affirm, or Klarna at checkout. Frequently asked questions
Will the M2 move my cyclic and pedals too?
No — the M2 is a seat-only mover. The seat pitches and rolls beneath you while your stick and pedals stay fixed to the floor or to your rig. That keeps the platform compact and affordable while still delivering the seat-of-the-pants cues that matter most for helicopter flying. If you want the entire cockpit moving as one rigid unit, that's the Hero and Pro full-platform lines.
Is two axes enough to feel like I'm flying a helicopter?
For most pilots, yes. Pitch and roll are the two cues your body reads most strongly when you set an attitude on the cyclic or catch torque in a turn. The M2's job is to couple that motion to your inner ear so you fly by feel instead of by the instruments — and for hover work, pedal turns and attitude flying, two axes is genuinely transformative.
Does the M2 work in VR for helicopters?
Yes. The M2 is supported in VR through OpenVR Motion Compensation, which keeps the virtual cockpit anchored to your head while the seat moves. That's essential for rotary flight, where you're constantly scanning outside the canopy. It's verified with the Valve Index, Quest and Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more.
What if I outgrow a seat mover later?
You won't be stuck. The M2 platform upgrades into the Hero line — the H2, H3 and H6 — when you're ready for full-cockpit motion on smoother motors. Starting on the M2 is a real entry point into the DOF Reality ecosystem, not a one-and-done purchase.
Will the M2 fit my space?
The M2 is one of the most compact motion rigs available, built around a small steel seat base that drops into an existing setup rather than demanding a dedicated room. It carries riders up to 220 lb / 100 kg on a welded, commercial-grade steel frame. For mounting questions specific to your chair or cockpit, see our DOF support page.
