Build it out

Parts made for the DOF Reality line. Tick what you want and it ships on the same order. Hover a part to see what it does.

Seats

The part you sit in. It bolts to the seat rails on the frame, and on most rigs the position slides back and forth to suit your height.

  • A one-piece racing seat that bolts to the rig frame where the driver sits.

    $469.00In stock

  • A racing seat with side adjustment levers and openings for five- or six-point belts.

    $549.00In stock

  • A racing seat shaped for tighter cockpits that can bolt from underneath or at the sides.

    $596.00In stock

Monitors

Holds the screen at racing distance. A cockpit-mounted arm bolts to the rig so the screen and the seat move together. A freestanding stand sits on the floor by itself and carries heavier or triple-screen setups.

  • Holds a VESA monitor on the rig so the screen moves with you instead of staying still.

    $120.00In stock

Wheels and pedals

The controls themselves. The wheelbase bolts to the deck at the front of the rig, the pedals to the pedal plate down below.

  • A plate that lets you unclip the pedals from the rig without tools when you need the space.

    $100.00In stock

Motion and haptics

Physical feedback. Shakers bolt to the seat or the frame and vibrate with the road surface, the kerbs and the engine, so you feel the car as well as see it.

  • A bracket that holds a bass shaker on the rig so you feel rumble through the frame.

    $25.00In stock

  • A box that takes motion data from PlayStation or Xbox games so the platform moves with them.

    $199.00In stock

  • Fans set in front of the seat that blow harder as your speed rises in the game.

    $359.00In stock

  • Shakers that fix to the seat and vibrate in time with the game so you feel the surface.

    $429.00In stock

  • DOF Reality Motion Upgrade Kit (Add Axes to Your Existing Rig)

    $1,073.00In stockChoose options

Flight

Mounts for a flight stick, a throttle and rudder pedals, if you fly as well as drive.

  • Brackets that hold a Honeycomb Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle on a flight rig.

    $70.00In stock

  • Mounts a flight stick and throttle to the moving platform, at the center or off to one side.

    $120.00In stock

Extras

The things you notice later: casters so it rolls out of the way, a mat to protect the floor, covers, longer cables.

  • Casters that bolt under the platform so you can roll the rig aside instead of lifting it.

    $40.00In stock

  • Longer motor and control cables so a three-axis rig can sit further from its control box.

    $40.00In stock

  • A button you hit to cut the platform's motion instantly if something goes wrong.

    $50.00In stock

  • A fabric cover you drape over the rig to keep dust off it between sessions.

    $50.00In stock

  • Metal panels that enclose the moving frame of a two or three axis platform.

    About this product

The P3e is our commercial-grade 3-axis flight platform — pitch, roll and yaw on the full rig, with your seat, stick and throttle moving as one. Roughly 50% faster than our Hero line, it snaps to gust, stall and break with the authority a serious pilot can feel in the seat of the pants.

The DOF Reality P3e is a full-platform motion rig built for pilots who want the airframe to talk back. Your entire cockpit — seat, stick, throttle, rudder — rotates together on three axes: pitch for climbs, dives and trim changes, roll for banking into a turn, and yaw for slips, crosswind kicks and the swing of an engine-out. Because everything moves as one piece, there's no disconnect between what you see and what your hands are doing on the controls.

What sets the Pro line apart is the muscle behind it. The P3e moves with about 50% more speed and strength than our Hero rigs, on commercial-grade steel rated to a 440 lb / 200 kg pilot. That headroom is what turns motion from a gentle wobble into real, sharp cues — the jolt of touchdown, the buffet before a stall, the quick recovery roll after you've been thrown out of trim.

At $5,999 it's a real investment, and that's the point: this is the rig we'd put a home simulator builder in when they're done compromising. It's the platform a serious flight-sim cockpit gets built around, not bolted onto as an afterthought.

    How it moves

This is a full-platform rig: the seat and all your controls move together, so your hands and feet stay locked to the cockpit exactly as they would in the real thing.

    • Pitch — tilts you forward and back so you feel acceleration and braking.
    • Roll — tilts side to side so you feel the lean of every corner.
    • Yaw — rotates the platform to reproduce rear traction loss — oversteer, drift and coordinated turns.

    Who it’s for

The P3e is for the committed flight-sim pilot — the builder running MSFS, DCS or X-Plane on a dedicated cockpit who wants commercial-grade motion that won't be the weak link as their setup grows.

    • Step down: if you want full three-axis motion but don't need Pro-level speed and strength, the Hero H3 ($2,999) gives you the same pitch/roll/yaw on smoother, gentler motors at a far lower price.
    • Step up: when you want the floating, free-fall sensation of dropping into turbulence and the surge of takeoff, the six-axis P6e ($9,999) adds heave, surge and sway to the same Pro-grade chassis. You can also get part-way there later — the P3e accepts a heave upgrade (P4e, from $1,935).

    Games, platforms & compatibility

The P3e is fully supported across more than 27 flight titles, including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 & 2020, DCS World, X-Plane 10/11/12, IL-2 Sturmovik, Prepar3D 4.5/5, War Thunder (planes), Star Wars Squadrons, Elite Dangerous, Aerofly FS 2 and Condor 2 gliders — civilian airliners, warbirds, fast jets and soaring all covered.

    • PC (Windows) is fully supported across every title above.
    • Console (PlayStation/Xbox) works for the select games that send telemetry over the network, and the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for others.
    • VR is supported via OpenVR Motion Compensation, so the world stays locked while the rig moves — Valve Index, Quest/Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more.

With a 3 x 5 ft footprint and 2 ft of height, plan your space before it arrives. For the full title list and rig-by-rig motion detail, see our DOF support page.

    Complete your rig

    • Flight controls: HOTAS Mounts Kit and Honeycomb A+B adapter to bolt your stick, throttle and yoke straight to the moving cockpit

    Future-proof: upgrade later

Add heave (P4e from $1,935) or go full six-axis P6e (from $4,990) when you want it. Every DOF Reality platform is modular — see how the upgrade paths work on our Options & Upgrades page.

    Shipping & delivery

Your rig is built to order and ships insured from our European manufacturing partner, door to door with tracking. The current lead time is in the Shipping and Returns tab. It arrives disassembled in two boxes (commercial-grade steel, so it is heavy by design = rigid and durable) and bolts together with the included tools; then you install SimRacingStudio and connect by USB. Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges set by your country are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price — in line with the manufacturer’s policy. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.

    Warranty, support & financing

Every platform includes a full 1-year manufacturer warranty, with an optional Extended +1 Year. As an authorized DOF Reality dealer based in the USA, we back every order with free pre-sale consultation and hands-on setup help — and you can split the cost with Shop Pay, Affirm, or Klarna at checkout. Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the P3e and the Hero H3 for flight?

Both give you the same three axes — pitch, roll and yaw — on a full moving platform. The P3e is the Pro version: commercial-grade steel and motors that move roughly 50% faster and stronger, so cues like stall buffet, touchdown and gust recovery hit sharper and hold up under hard flying. The H3 is the smoother, more affordable choice if you don't need that extra authority.

Does the P3e simulate turbulence and stalls?

Yes. Pitch and roll reproduce the buffet and wallow leading into a stall, the break, and the recovery, while yaw adds the swing of crosswinds, slips and engine-out. What the P3e does not do on its own is the vertical drop and surge of a downdraft — that's heave and surge, which live on the four- and six-axis Pro rigs.

Can I add more motion later?

Yes. The P3e is built to grow. You can add heave (the P4e upgrade, from $1,935) for the sinking-elevator feel of turbulence and float on landing, or step all the way to the full six-axis P6e (from $4,990 as an upgrade) for surge and sway on top — without replacing the core platform.

Will it work with my VR headset and HOTAS?

Yes. VR is supported through OpenVR Motion Compensation so the cockpit stays steady in your view while the rig moves underneath you, and it works with Valve Index, Quest/Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more. Because the whole platform moves as one, your HOTAS, throttle quadrant and rudder pedals mount to the rig and travel with you.

How much space and how strong does it need to be?

The P3e has a 3 x 5 ft footprint and stands about 2 ft tall, on commercial-grade steel rated for a pilot up to 440 lb / 200 kg. It's a substantial, stable base — measure your room and leave clearance for the platform's full range of travel before it ships.
