The DOF Reality P3e is a 3-axis Pro motion platform built for pilots who fly helicopters seriously. Pitch, roll and yaw run on commercial-grade steel and Pro-class motors that are roughly 50% faster and stronger than the Hero line — the difference you feel the moment a Black Shark starts to drift and you catch it on instinct instead of on the gauges.

For Heli work, that speed matters more than almost anywhere else in flight sim. A helicopter is never truly still; it's a constant conversation of tiny corrections. The P3e moves the whole platform — seat, stick, collective and pedals together — so the cues reach you through your body, not just your eyes. How it moves

This is a full-platform rig: the seat and all your controls move together, so your hands and feet stay locked to the cockpit exactly as they would in the real thing.

PC (Windows) is fully supported across every title above. Console (PlayStation/Xbox) works for the select games that send telemetry over the network, and the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for others. VR is supported through OpenVR Motion Compensation — Valve Index, Quest/Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more — which keeps your headset view locked while the platform moves, the ideal way to fly a hover.

The full platform moves as one unit, so your cyclic, collective and pedals stay perfectly aligned to your hands no matter what the airframe is doing. Shipping & delivery

Your rig is built to order and ships insured from our European manufacturing partner, door to door with tracking. The current lead time is in the Shipping and Returns tab. It arrives disassembled in two boxes (commercial-grade steel, so it is heavy by design = rigid and durable) and bolts together with the included tools; then you install SimRacingStudio and connect by USB. Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges set by your country are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price — in line with the manufacturer’s policy. Frequently asked questions

Why does yaw matter so much for helicopter flying?

Rotary flight lives and dies on the pedals. Tail-rotor authority, torque changes and pedal turns are constant in a helicopter, and the P3e's dedicated yaw axis lets you feel those movements through the seat. That body-level feedback is what turns hover-holding and pedal turns into instinct rather than instrument-watching.

What does the Pro line give me over a Hero rig for heli sim?

The P3e's Pro hardware runs roughly 50% faster and stronger than the Hero line, on commercial-grade steel. For helicopters — which demand fast, small, continuous corrections — that extra speed means the platform keeps up with your hover micro-inputs and delivers them crisply instead of lagging behind.

Will it work in VR?

Yes. The P3e supports OpenVR Motion Compensation across the major headsets — Valve Index, Quest/Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more. Motion compensation keeps your in-headset horizon stable while the rig moves beneath you, which is exactly what you want for the precise visual reference a hover requires.

Can I add more motion later?

Absolutely. The P3e is a clear upgrade path: add a heave axis to step up to the P4e (from $1,935), or expand to the full six-axis P6e (from $4,990) when you want surge and sway too. You buy the motion you need now without boxing yourself in.

Do I need a high-end PC to run it?

For the listed titles, a PC running Windows is fully supported and is the most capable way to fly. As long as your machine can run DCS, MSFS or X-Plane comfortably, the motion software runs alongside it and reads telemetry to drive the platform — no separate high-spec requirement beyond the sim itself.
