Seats

The part you sit in. It bolts to the seat rails on the frame, and on most rigs the position slides back and forth to suit your height.

  • A one-piece racing seat that bolts to the rig frame where the driver sits.

    $469.00In stock

  • A racing seat with side adjustment levers and openings for five- or six-point belts.

    $549.00In stock

  • A racing seat shaped for tighter cockpits that can bolt from underneath or at the sides.

    $596.00In stock

Monitors

Holds the screen at racing distance. A cockpit-mounted arm bolts to the rig so the screen and the seat move together. A freestanding stand sits on the floor by itself and carries heavier or triple-screen setups.

  • Holds a VESA monitor on the rig so the screen moves with you instead of staying still.

    $120.00In stock

Wheels and pedals

The controls themselves. The wheelbase bolts to the deck at the front of the rig, the pedals to the pedal plate down below.

  • A plate that lets you unclip the pedals from the rig without tools when you need the space.

    $100.00In stock

Motion and haptics

Physical feedback. Shakers bolt to the seat or the frame and vibrate with the road surface, the kerbs and the engine, so you feel the car as well as see it.

  • A bracket that holds a bass shaker on the rig so you feel rumble through the frame.

    $31.00In stock

  • A box that takes motion data from PlayStation or Xbox games so the platform moves with them.

    $199.00In stock

  • Fans set in front of the seat that blow harder as your speed rises in the game.

    $359.00In stock

  • Shakers that fix to the seat and vibrate in time with the game so you feel the surface.

    $429.00In stock

  • DOF Reality Motion Upgrade Kit (Add Axes to Your Existing Rig)

    $1,073.00In stockChoose options

Flight

Mounts for a flight stick, a throttle and rudder pedals, if you fly as well as drive.

  • Brackets that hold a Honeycomb Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle on a flight rig.

    $75.00In stock

  • Mounts a flight stick and throttle to the moving platform, at the center or off to one side.

    $120.00In stock

Extras

The things you notice later: casters so it rolls out of the way, a mat to protect the floor, covers, longer cables.

  • Longer motor and control cables so a two-axis rig can sit further from its control box.

    $37.00In stock

  • Casters that bolt under the platform so you can roll the rig aside instead of lifting it.

    $49.00In stock

  • A button you hit to cut the platform's motion instantly if something goes wrong.

    $55.00In stock

  • A fabric cover you drape over the rig to keep dust off it between sessions.

    $55.00In stock

  • Metal panels that enclose the moving frame of a two or three axis platform.

    About this product

Two axes of full-platform motion — pitch and roll — built around the extra-smooth SFU gearbox so every bank, climb, and trim correction flows the way a real airframe moves. The Hero "r" tuned for flight.

The DOF Reality H2r is the flight-tuned version of the Hero 2-axis platform. Instead of moving the seat alone, the entire rig — your seat, your stick or yoke, your throttle and your rudder pedals — pitches and rolls as one body. When the sim banks into a turn, your whole cockpit banks with it, and your hands stay exactly where they belong relative to the aircraft. That is the difference between feeling like you're watching a flight and feeling like you're flying one.

What makes the "r" variant matter for flight and helicopter sims is the SFU gearbox. Aircraft motion is mostly slow, deliberate, and continuous — long sustained banks, gentle pitch trims, the subtle wallow of a helicopter in a hover. The SFU gearbox is tuned for exactly that: it delivers those small, precise movements without the notchiness you'd notice at low speed. With 20° of travel on each axis, 0.7G of transverse acceleration to sell a hard bank, and 500W of peak power on tap, the H2r reads your telemetry and translates it into motion your inner ear actually believes.

At $2,699 it sits at the sweet spot of our Hero line for pilots: real full-platform motion and the smooth, flight-specific gearbox, without stepping up to the faster, heavier Pro tier built for racing forces you don't need in the cockpit.

    How it moves

This is a full-platform rig: the seat and all your controls move together, so your hands and feet stay locked to the cockpit exactly as they would in the real thing.

    • Pitch — tilts you forward and back so you feel acceleration and braking.
    • Roll — tilts side to side so you feel the lean of every corner.

    Who it’s for

The H2r is built for the pilot who wants genuine cockpit motion — not just a vibrating seat — in MSFS, DCS, X-Plane, or a helicopter sim, and who values smoothness over raw speed.

    • Step down: If your budget is tighter or you mostly want feedback rather than full-cockpit immersion, the M2 seat mover at $1,499 moves the seat alone and is the most affordable way into motion.
    • This rig: The H2r at $2,699 gives you full-platform pitch and roll with the smooth SFU gearbox — the right call for most serious flight and heli pilots who want immersion done properly without overpaying for racing-grade speed.
    • Step up: Want yaw for coordinated turns and tail-rotor work? Add it later — upgrade to the H3 from $1,073, or go all-in on the six-axis H6 for the most complete envelope of motion we offer.

    Games, platforms & compatibility

The H2r reads live telemetry from the most demanding flight titles in the hobby — over 27 supported across fixed-wing, combat, and gliders:

    • Civil & study-level: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 & 2020, X-Plane 10/11/12, Prepar3D 4.5/5, Aerofly FS 2, and Condor 2 for soaring.
    • Combat & military: DCS World, IL-2 Sturmovik, War Thunder (planes), and Star Wars Squadrons.
    • Space & sandbox: Elite Dangerous and more.

PC (Windows) is fully supported across every title. On console (PlayStation/Xbox), the H2r works with the select games that send telemetry over the network, and the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for others. VR pilots are covered through OpenVR Motion Compensation — Valve Index, Quest and Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more — so the cockpit moves with you while the horizon stays locked. Want us to confirm your exact stick, throttle, pedal, and seat setup will mount cleanly? See our DOF support page and reach out before you order.

    Complete your rig

    • Flight controls: HOTAS Mounts Kit and Honeycomb A+B adapter to bolt your stick, throttle and yoke straight to the moving cockpit
    • Seats & harnesses — DOF Reality seat, Sparco R100/R333/Sprint, 4-point harness
    • Immersion: SRS UShake 6 tactile cushion, SRS Hurricane wind package, Buttkicker mount
    • Practicality: monitor mount, floor mat with DOF shield, protective covers, transport wheels, cable extensions
    • Console: the MagicBox adapter bridges motion for PlayStation and Xbox titles that don’t send telemetry natively

    Future-proof: upgrade later

Start at two axes and add yaw later: upgrade to H3 from $1,073, or step up to the six-axis H6. Every DOF Reality platform is modular — see how the upgrade paths work on our Options & Upgrades page.

    Shipping & delivery

Your rig is built to order and ships insured from our European manufacturing partner, door to door with tracking. The current lead time is in the Shipping and Returns tab. It arrives disassembled in two boxes (commercial-grade steel, so it is heavy by design = rigid and durable) and bolts together with the included tools; then you install SimRacingStudio and connect by USB. Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges set by your country are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price — in line with the manufacturer’s policy. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.

    Warranty, support & financing

Every platform includes a full 1-year manufacturer warranty, with an optional Extended +1 Year. As an authorized DOF Reality dealer based in the USA, we back every order with free pre-sale consultation and hands-on setup help — and you can split the cost with Shop Pay, Affirm, or Klarna at checkout. Frequently asked questions

What does the "r" in H2r mean for flight sims?

The "r" denotes the extra-smooth SFU gearbox. It's tuned for the slow, precise, continuous movements that define flight and helicopter flying — sustained banks, gentle pitch trims, the subtle motion of a hover — delivering them without the low-speed notchiness you'd otherwise feel. For a pilot, that smoothness is exactly what sells the illusion.

How is the H2r different from a seat mover like the M2?

The H2r is a full platform: your seat, stick or yoke, throttle, and rudder pedals all pitch and roll together as one unit. A seat mover only moves the seat, so your hands and controls stay fixed while you move underneath them. Full-platform motion keeps your entire cockpit aligned with the aircraft, which is a noticeably more convincing experience — especially for instrument and formation flying.

Can I add yaw later for coordinated turns and helicopter work?

Yes — that's a core advantage of starting on the Hero line. You can upgrade to the three-axis H3 from $1,073 to add yaw, or step up to the six-axis H6 for the fullest range of motion. Starting at two axes is a smart way to get flying now and expand when you're ready.

Will the H2r work with my VR headset?

Yes. VR is supported through OpenVR Motion Compensation, which keeps your virtual horizon stable while the platform moves you. Valve Index, Quest and Quest 2, Reverb G2, Vive, Pimax and more are all covered.

Does it support both fixed-wing and helicopter sims?

It does. The two axes — pitch and roll — cover the primary motion cues for fixed-wing flying, and the smooth SFU gearbox is genuinely well suited to the slow, fine control inputs that helicopter flight demands. If you later want yaw for tail-rotor authority, the upgrade path to H3 or H6 is there.
